Beverly holds a special place in my heart. She was my daughter’s piano teacher for several years and she was so loving and open with her. It was reassuring to me to know that Alex was on the receiving end of such gentleness and love as she learned the gift of music.
Beverly’s music sinks me into that gentle flow as well whenever I listen to it. It is the music I choose nearly every day to start my creative time. It is what I pick whenever I feel a little astray from my purpose and sense of self. And it is the music I brought into the surgical suite when I had a joint repair. The nurse thanked me, saying she always loved it when one of her patients brought Beverly with them as it calmed the whole environment.
I would like to say that it is magical, but it really isn’t as elusive as that. Beverly creates it from a place of honesty and openness. She trusts the flow. She allows it to come out gently without question. She trusts that it will do what it is intended to do once it is out in the world.
Listening to it in my art room brings all of that open, honest, trusting flow right into me and through me and into my creations. It moves me to stay present in that space. It asks me to do this in such a kind, gentle way and it cradles me as I allow it to happen. It is simply a deep sigh of relief to turn it on and rest into it.
Feel free to enjoy Beverly’s music for yourself.
