So weeks ago when I was cleaning out my studio, I stumbled across this in the bottom of a drawer.
A fun little trinket that used to decorate a mirror in our former house. It grabbed me so I promptly placed it on my laptop thinking a little reminder to celebrate once in awhile isn’t a bad idea, right?
And then every day since I placed it there, I’ve volleyed between completely ignoring it or being totally annoyed by it. I’ve shut the lid only to have it be in the way. I’ve been reading the screen and tune in to myself straining to see around it. I’ve picked up the machine and heard it tumble to the floor behind my desk. Dammit.
Then today, as I had yet another ticked-off moment shifting it around what I was typing on the screen, I had an apostrophe!! (Can you name that movie reference??)
celebrate
Celebrate, you fool! Celebrate this bright sunny day, this promising new year! Celebrate that I’m burning with intense creativity and am bursting at the seams with ideas and actions. Celebrate that I’m feeling healthy enough to do it all! Celebrate that Joel’s flights were on time and he arrived safely home. Celebrate that I slept through the night last night and had a great dream. Celebrate that there’s an awesome leftover quinoa salad in the refrigerator waiting for my lunch.
Celebrate that I FINALLY remembered to celebrate!
And then I remembered and dug out another buried treasure from that same drawer promising to be equally annoying and as easily ignored. Stay tuned!
Hook! I’m celebrating naming the movie reference. 🙂
Loved this Ellen! Made me laugh!
