This piece was created for the Members’ Show at Artlink, a Fort Wayne gallery. It depicts my Tyvek papercut eyes peering through a copper-wire spider web dotted with pearls. While real spiders aren’t my favorite entities when discovered inside the house, their energy speaks to me, i.e. the diligence and skill in repairing their webs to stay connected. I feel like this is a metaphor for living life…staying connected to people and worlds known and unknown.
The image is constructed on a 6 x 12″ upcycled cupboard door. Prints of this work as well as tshirts, ipad and phone cases, and notecards can be purchased via Redbubble. Check it out!
