This collection of collages started with the desire to create an unconventional family portrait. I photographed and drew my eyes as well as those of my husband and three children. The circle of these images formed the heart of each collage in this series.
This piece, The Goddess is Alive, embraces the Sacred Feminine energy to support each of us, male and female, in our relationship to each other and to our world.
It is constructed on a 16 x 16″ plywood base with marbled paper, found objects, and, of course, Tyvek papercut eyes.
