Sophia and the Seven Goddesses

November 6, 2014

Sophia and the Seven Goddesses: A Journey of Self-Acceptance and its accompanying workbook were written and illustrated by Ilene Satala in conjunction with Beverley Danusis. The synopsis reads:

“Sophia and the Seven Goddesses: A Journey of Self-Acceptance is an Award-Winning empowerment adventure book using Greek mythology and fantasy. “Sophia and the Seven Goddesses” has been approved by The Dove Foundation for Family Viewing and has also received the 2009 Seal of Excellence Award from Creative Child’s Magazine. The book’s main character, Sophie, is a 12-year old girl, visiting her archeologist grandparents in Greece. She is inspired by her grandparents unearthing of an ancient Greek goddess temple. Sophie and her new Greek friend, Tena, venture into an exploration of their own with experiences and challenges that teach them the value of developing their innate wisdom.”

I clearly remember when Ilene wrote this book. She was a natural storyteller and was so energized and delighted with the challenge of putting a new story in print. Inspiring!
